It has been brought to our attention from a concerned professional in the education sector that food vouchers for parents in a borough is not available for this summer holidays. Leaving schools, teachers and parents in need in a limbo with how the 6 weeks will go. The teacher was relieved to hear about our free pop up Come and See What a Gift Day events will be taking place throughout the summer holidays in various locations where parents can top up on essentials.

Meaning parents can be alleviated with access to free refreshments, snacks, fruits, long life food essentials, toiletries, new clothing and gifts. Being held in leisure centres giving them an experience within a wellbeing environment, an activity for the household, and access to further supportive services. Most importantly a long term sustainability opportunity to become a Sustainable Community Impact Volunteer (SCIV). Where they can pick up free food donations and more to help people they know in need as well as be sustained at the same time. Providing a free, confidential and dignified way to take the pressure off temporary circumstances. Helping parents and households to get back on their feet.

This is a response service of real impact in real-time. We are looking to support 1,000 parents this summer in London to become a sustainable volunteer. All they need is there volunteer starter pack sponsored to get going. We are calling corporates to do what they can in the next 2 weeks before schools break up. Let's help more families have the holiday break they deserve without having to think where the next meal is going to come from.

Youth joblessness has taken a turn for the worse with over 735,000 currently in unemployment. The rate in 2026 is 16.2%u, up previously from 14.3% in 2025. With NEET numbers rising over one million of 16-24 year olds not in education, employment or training adding further pressure. This next generation is facing a mental battle after many stories of applying and no success even after 100 applications. Unemployment is also linked to poor mental health as stated in this Guardian article: Click here

There is hope as we are offering PWE (practical work experience) with SSP (Sustainable Students Project). Any student over the age of 18 can join as a SCIV (sustainable community impact volunteer). Where they can get access to free food and resources to distribute to people they know in need and be sustained too. Offering a free, confidential and dignified way to get get going. Helping to boost their confidence, improve wellbeing as they get out of the home and meet likeminded volunteers. Also able to obtain a reference from their first pick up or event. As they engage in store distribution to our free pop up events in leisure/ community centres, career fairs and exhibitions. Helping to gain and build upon customer service and event management experience.
